Day 67 was a big day - The second
biggest if you include the finale, or maybe the 3rd biggest after the launch
night, or rather controversially the 4th if you put the first eviction above it.
Well, basically wherever you put the final eviction in the importance rating
stakes, it was a big day.
And so what a better way to ease the tension of such an eventful day than to
introduce a really creepy clown called 'Mr Snuggles'. Good work Big Brother.
Yes, some of the housemates got acquainted with the anti-entertainer, in a
selfless deed to win some pampering for their fellow semi-finalists.
First-up was Ashleigh, who took the fall for boyfriend Luke S by getting a fishy
hair wash courtesy of Mr Snuggles and thus winning her beau a cut and colour
with a top stylist. What's that you say - something about the lost art of
chivalry? Suffice to say the pair had a few words over his less than gentlemanly
behaviour, which Adam and Luke A deemed to be part of their 'gameplan'. An
interesting theory there.
The other boys - Scott, Luke A and Adam, also had appointments at 'Snuggles
Salon', with Scott failing to win a treatment for Sara after washing off his
'special snuggles tan' and the latter two winning Deana a facial and mani pedi.
Once all the proper pampering was over and done with, it was time for the
housemates to get involved in the long and arduous task of preparing for the
evening's evictions. Seriously, they take a ridiculously long time getting ready
- but hey, when they look this good, who cares?
And then came the moment we were all waiting for, as Brian announced who would
be the tenth and eleventh evictee from the Big Brother House. Although it was a
shock to many, Scott was the first to be evicted, shortly followed by his chum
Ashleigh.
There wasn't much time for the housemates to react to the news, however, as they
were invited to a very special episode of Big Brother's Bit On The Side which
was screened live from the garden. Watching from behind the glass doors, the
housemates looked on as Emma showed their highs and lows, spoke to their loved
ones on the phone and interviewed their recently departed housemates - Ashleigh
and Scott.
The housemates were so shocked that they couldn't muster many words - well
apart from when Emma showed Ashleigh the clip from the 'talent agent' task,
which caused a few raised eyebrows from the housemates and resulted in a rather
annoyed girlfriend. Luke S's get-out clause? "It was taken out of context". Hmm
you may want to start thinking of a better excuse before Monday Lukey boy.
As you would imagine, the housemates spent the rest of the evening discussing
the night's events and congratulating each other for making it to the
finale. All of the housemates went to sleep on a high, apart from a
disillusioned Luke S who sadly kissed a picture of Ashleigh before retreating to
the land of nod. How touching.
