Day 52 Round UpAdd comment Bookmark and Share

Today was shopping list day, the day when the housemates tap into the most diplomatic aspects of their character and work together for an optimum food delivery. The gang had a luxury food budget to play with after passing the Party Animals task. It should all have gone so smoothly.

Obviously it didn't, but it should have done.

Before all that, there was a relatively happy mood in the House, despite the looming eviction. It was soon disturbed by a disputed sunbed space, but it was fun while it lasted.

Caroline, who was soon to become the focus of much of the House action, took some time out to remember evictee Chris before she pondered the shopping budget. An ominous discussion on how to assign funds to the smokers came into play, with Luke S and Adam disagreeing over figures, may have lit the touch-paper for later events.

Before it could really ignite, Big Brother offered a task distraction. The whole House played a game of Personality Bingo, with Luke S eventually scooping victory by correctly guessing that his fellow housemates find him 'cheesy'. Cheesy and oniony - he's got a classic combination of odours there.

Fun. But soon the fun was to end as Caroline made a move that could either be considered incredibly amusing or incredibly foolish. Tasked with delivering the shopping list to Big Brother in the Diary Room, the girl from Surrey sabotaged the deal, investing only in sweeties, chocs and cakes. The fall-out was devastating. Even ex-bestie Scott was upset. He told her so in no uncertain terms.

The food situation left the House reeling and ended the day on rather a sour note. Only Luke S had reason to smile as he munched his reward for the Personality Bingo task. But even he finished Day 52 in a bit of a sulk after a small confrontation with Luke A, even though he had a belly full of protein.

A tough day for our housemates, but tomorrow's only set to get tougher. Day 53 will see one of eight evicted - and goodness only knows which one.
