Day 51 Round UpAdd comment Bookmark and Share

The housemates had a very rude awakening on Day 51, as the Party Animal task continued. With the clock counting down, they rushed to the Big Ben statue in the living room to sing Auld Lang Syne before the clock struck midnight. We would feel sorry for them, but who doesn't like that New Year's Eve feeling? We think every day should start that way.

The festive feelings were short lived, however, when Sara got into a spat with Caroline over a well known fast food chain, and it's rather peculiar location. Let's just say we don't think the gap year student picked up on the fact that Sara was extremely peeved - despite Miss Edinburgh's efforts.

However, there were more pressing matters at hand later in the day, as Big Brother brought a touch of politics to the House. Party leaders Scott and Luke S had to argue for and against gameplans to their fellow housemates, culminating in a ballot vote at the end. The task prompted Scott to comment that it wasn’t a coincidence that Big Brother had chosen Luke S over the other housemates to argue in favour of gameplans. Slandering your opponent? A cheap tactic indeed, Scott.

With the vote done and dusted, the housemates were invited to yet another party - this time a much loved British institution, the good ol' office party. 'Bosses' Adam, Scott and Sara battled it out to become 'office legend' in a series of health and safety approved games. Sara was crowned the victor - which was lucky really, because she was on a secret mission and the housemates would have failed this part of the task if she hadn't.

Her win didn't exactly go down too well with the other housemates, however, as they branded Sara and her PA Deana 'cheats'. The biggest sore loser was Adam, who even called his relationship with Deana into question - a bit drastic you might agree.

Alas, the friends soon kissed and made-up when Big Brother revealed the true nature of the office task, and the housemates were sweetened further by the news that they had won a luxury budget this week. Hurrah!

But if you think the good news meant a contented House, you'd be wrong. We still had bickers between Sara and Becky before the night was over and the Insiders still can’t seem to be in the same room as the Outsiders.
