You've got to speculate to accumulate (whatever that means) and we can't stop debating amongst ourselves what potential love stories might be written in the stars now that 2012's housemates are all on the floor. In their maiden hours inside the four walls, they're all smalltalk and niceties. But that's clearly not going to last for too long. Simmering tensions and fluctuating attractions are going to be bubbling under the still waters somewhere, and after a couple of highlights shows have gone out we won't need a sixth sense to pick up on them.

All the new faces are bound to conceal burning lusts and pre-formed resentments. So where's all the emotion likely to spring from? We had a think about this and now we're satisfied that we've definitely cracked most of what's going to happen over the summer in the Big Brother house.

Disclaimer: The following things may not happen over the summer inside the Big Brother house.

Potential romances...

Luke likes cougars with ample proportions and Victoria would seem to fit that exact bill. So long as she's interested in younger men with a wild streak of slightly misplaced raging self-belief, she'll be sorted.

Chris has a thing for Essex Girls and Ashleigh's a girl from that very region. On paper, this one’s got 'love-match' written all over it. In addition to this fizzing chemistry, they both specify a time limit for the amount of time they can go without sexual relations, so clearly they've got shared priorities.

Johnny Anglais (or Benedict, as he might prefer to be known whilst he's in the house) is clearly something of a stallion given his line of work. But might it be that the odd detail on his CV proves to be a turn-off for potential partners? If not, maybe he'll catch the eye of Shiveonne, who also used to disrobe for coin.

Lauren's a down-to-earth former farmer so she might appreciate the unsophisticated ways of Connor. We think it's fair to call him unsophisticated considering that party trick he's so proud of.

...and then there are those on the taken list. Unless they're looking for serious trouble, we doubt that the other Luke or Lydia (Scott-Lee) will be entertaining offers.

Potential clashes....

There's Chris the bailiff... and then there are university students Lauren and Scott. A debt collector mixing with kids potentially up to their necks in student debt. This may cause friction.

Deana needs an hour of quiet time per day. Given that Shievonne's always in a sugar frenzy and Ashley's a self-confessed 'nutter', will Miss India UK ever be given the space she needs?

Luke has an issue with annoying accents. We're not judging, but Caroline does have quite a rich, plummy, Home Counties way with words and this could well wind the boy up.

Sara came second in the Miss Edinburgh competition while Deana's come top in another beauty pageant. Combine this with potential jealousy going either way and we might well have ourselves a minor fireworks display.

Grabbing alpha male status is always central to most male HM's plans, whether they're consciously aware of it or not. We're thinking it'll be Benedict, Conor and Luke S who'll wrestle over that particular role.
